I was employed at National Packaging Systems, manufacturer of Vertical form, fill and seal machines, Volumetric Fillers, Auger Fillers, Feeding Systems and Conveyors for the food and beverage industry . 

 

I was Employed at NPS on 01/04/2016 as a Mechatronic Engineer after working at Design engineering.

I worked in the Electrical department where we have the following responsibilities

  • Electrical design 

  • Off line and on-line PLC Programming

  • Factory maintenance. 

  • Machine Commissioning 

  • Breakdown Support

Title: Trainee Engineer / PLC Programmer

 

I was employed at DESIGN Engineering, a world renound company that manufactures automotive manufacturing lines. They do work for automotive companies such as Toyota, BMW, VW, FORD, Mercedes, Opel, Transnet and other companies that manufacture automotive components. 

 

I was Employed at Design Engineering on 19/01/2015 as a Trainee Engineer after finishing my BSc in Mechatronic Engineering at the University Of Cape Town in 2014.

I was employed by Dave Brooks (Managing Director) and worked directly under Floris steenkamp, the head of the automation departmet. 

 

I worked in the Automation department where we have the following responsibilities

  • Electrical design 

  • Pneumatic design

  • Off line and on-line PLC code

  • Panel wiring

  • Robotics

  • Factory maintenance. 

  • Fixture Commissioning 

  • Breakdown Support 

 

My title was a  PLC Programmer, however I was involved in all aspects of the automation department. 

 

Some of my main responsibilities were as follows:

  • PLC Coding - Toyopuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Beckhoff

  • Fixture Testing and Commissioning. 

  • Installation of electrical Systems. 

  • PLC Breakdown support

  • Managing smaller projects.
